Please join the SSC in welcoming Bethesda Police Officer Dana Stroman - who will be coming to speak to us about personal safety. With many of us spending long spans of time alone while spouses are on rotations, and because more information is always a good thing, Officer Stroman will be talking to us about how we can stay safe in a variety of settings, and then answering your questions. Please don't miss this event - there will be great tips for everyone!

Upcoming Nominations Night will be loads of fun! Stay tuned for the evite and we'll see you there!

Please turn in all outstanding receipts to me within 30 days of your event. This will be especially helpful as we get closer to the time we start to plan for our budget needs next year. Thank you.

Want to paint some pretty pottery? Then join me on Thursday the 16th at All Fired Up in Bethesda (4923 Elm Street). I'll be providing snacks and refreshments. So let's get creative and have some fun. Hope to see you there!

We have had great turnouts for our January events thus far, so thanks to everyone for coming out and making our playdates fun! For February, we have two community playdates and two parent-hosted "home" playdates, including a Valentine's Day party at Victoria's house. I have been posting events and reminders on the Parent-Tot Facebook page, as well as sending out emails from the Parent-Tot gmail account. If you have NOT been receiving these emails, please let me know (sscparenttot@gmail.com) so I can add your email address to the distribution list. I hope to see you all at some of our February events!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Casino Night a huge success and to everyone who attended despite the weather. If you have any feedback from the event please feel free to email me at ususscmembership@gmail.com. And make sure to remind your spouse and significant other friends that it's never too late to sign up to be part of the SSC.
 
And lastly, don't forget that nominations are coming up for SSC positions and we need someone to take over as the Membership chair. If you have any questions about it please feel free to email me. I promise to pass on a well organized binder to the next person to make things as easy as possible for you.

The USUHS SSC Mens Group facebook page is up and running. We have been using it to check in with other military husbands around the area, and trying to brainstorm some activities in an open forum capacity. Log on! Check it out! Update your interests and let's get some ideas flowing.
 
I am going to try and get a racquetball tournament going for next month, and would like to see some teams put together soon!
