Behavioral and Cognitive Neurosciecnces: Addictive Behaviors, Stress and Neurotoxicicty

The research in Dr. Grunberg's laboratory focuses on behavioral and cognitive neurosciences. More specifically, this laboratory studies stress, nicotine, alcohol, environmental influences, and traumatic brain injury. Subjects usually are rats, but the lab also studies human responses. Current investigations are examining effects of stress and environmental enrichment on actions of nicotine and alcohol in male and female, adult and adolescent rats of various genetic strains. In TBI studies with rats, we are examining behavioral and cognitive responses and the influence of stress and enriched environments.
