School of Medicine students learning on campus.

Admissions

The USU School of Medicine is a unique program with an extraordinary mission. Students on this campus are learning to care for those in harm's way.

The best and brightest thinkers are needed to carry out this very important charge. Therefore, USU seeks talented individuals, interested in career uniformed service.

Navigating the course of military and public health medicine is a challenging experience. For this reason, the breadth and depth of the USU curriculum is far reaching. A formula combining education in basic science and clinical medicine with innovative training exercises nurtures the future leaders and skilled physicians of USU.

By graduation, students are able to confidently perform under difficult circumstances, anywhere in the world. And they become part of a calling greater than medicine alone.

A Diverse Campus

USU encourages and welcomes racial and ethnic diversity among its student body.

To achieve this, the university is collaborating with undergraduate institutions, various interest groups and the Association of American Medical Colleges to attract more under-represented minorities to careers in military medicine.

"We at USU strive to have our student body reflect the diversity in the military."
