Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG)
The Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) at USU is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to experience the full spectrum of Family Medicine. The FMIG is integrally involved in activities serving the university, uniformed service members, their dependents and the local community.
Sports Medicine Interest Group (SMIG)
The Sports Medicine Interest Group was created to educate USU students in potential pathways to pursue a career in sports medicine, provide opportunites for USU students to gain additional knowledge and practice with musculoskeletal exams, provide USU students the opportunity to assist team physicians with game day and athletic training room experiences, provide oppurtunities for USU students to gain experience with mass event medical coverage, to include the Marine Corps Marathon and the Army 10-miler and instill the concept of the "soldier-athlete" and the importance of treating our military forces as a team and as athletes.
