Post-Clerkship Curriculum
The major objectives of the post-clerkship period are to prepare students for graduate medical education (residency) and to advance clinical decision making skills as students move from being able to report medical information to being able to interpret information in the interest of managing patient care (RIME model of medical education).
The planning document below lays out the over-arching goals and vision statement for the period, with information on the "micro-modules" proposed for the advanced didactics phase of the curriculum and a tentative calendar.

Curriculum Reform in the USU Newsletter
Dr. Jeffery Miller's discussion on the curriculum reform process at UCLA is highlighted in the May 10th issue of "The Pulse." Dr. Miller spoke at USU in April and shared his experiences as he moved from one who was initially against the reform to one who embraced the results. His thoughts on the problems encountered along the way and the ultimate benefits of the reform are timely for our faculty and students.
