SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS

This year, USUCHD will not host their Summer Internship programs. Thank you and we wish you continued academic success!
Objective: We also provide exceptional training programs in the biomedical and behavioral sciences for students underrepresented in medicine and science. The programs extend across the span of their academic development.
Under the direction of William Catherino, M.D., Ph.D., the Training Component provides learning opportunities at the high school, undergraduate and graduate levels. The USUCHD summer programs make research opportunities available to high school, college, and graduate students who are members of minority groups. The college and graduate level opportunities focus on research in the biomedical and behavioral sciences. All of the students are assigned mentors to make their learning experiences as successful and productive as possible. The high school students incorporate a wide variety of activities primarily focusing on health disparities, but also include training and exposure to healthcare awareness in minority communities. USUHS and the surrounding scientific community (e.g., NIH and NNMC) make this area a rich environment for learning.
