Information
Christy J.W. Ledford teaches interpersonal, organizational, and public relations courses. She earned her PhD in health and strategic communication at George Mason University, where her dissertation included a multimethodological investigation of message frame and presentation mode effects on persuasion. Her current research interests include health communication, risk communication, and persuasion, specifically as they impact patient safety. Christy also serves as health services faculty in the Department of Family Medicine at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.
