USU Patient Simulation Laboratory, founded in 1997, is a collaborative project between the National Naval Medical Center's Department of Anesthesiology and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences' Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Genetics and Department of Anesthesiology. Since its inception, the Patient Simulation Laboratory has created simulations for the following:

In addition, the clinical teaching features of simulation have been extended to large lecture halls via the Advanced Distance Education Network, a joint USU and CERMUSA project providing Internet2/Next Generation Internet compatible infrastructure within USU and links to NNMC.
